Status & Future Tracks

This site is very much “in progress” at the time of this writing (2025). The main pending item is to build out the kanji and vocabulary all the way to JLPT N1 level. Even if you’re starting with this site very early after launch, as long as you’re not too aggressive with your learning pace, we should be able to stay ahead of you so you don’t run out of new kanji or vocabulary to learn until you’ve completed the N1 level. If you are fast or are already advanced in your kanji learning process before you came here, then you may need to be patient with us.

The goal is to complete the main kanji and vocabulary tracks by mid-2026. Once the main track is completed we’ll be adding optional specialized vocabulary tracks. For example are you really into Judo, Sumo, Cooking, Medicine, Astronomy, etc? We’ll build out specialized optional tracks (priority given on popular request) for learning vocabulary related to your area of special interest.
